So, what will I be doing?
Based within the accountancy and services sector, a relationship manager’s role involves working with our clients to ensure a smooth communication in both directions. You will also be expected to identify new sales possibilities to “up-sell” new products to our existing clients.
You will be expected to source new clients, either by exploiting leads generated by our marketing campaigns or by self-sourcing.
Far from being a self-absorbed money-orientated career, your position involves managing clients and ensuring that their needs are being properly fulfilled for the long term. You are also in the position of encouraging new clients into the fold, analysing their needs and ensuring that the foundations of a long-term relationship is established from day one.
Cervantes Alarcón Consulting offers the following financial services which you will be expected to offer to your clients:
- Tax based services of all nature
- HR and payroll services for companies
- Accountancy, both professional and individual
- Residency services, NIE and relocation services
- Vehicle import services
- Insurance assessment and provision, both for companies and private individuals
- Conveyancing and associated services, including the sourcing of mortgage or finance services
- Generic independent legal services for expats in the region
Some small print
Your working hours will initially be decided largely by yourself.
You will be free to set your own working routine within the framework of objectives established by the Partners of the firm. You have the freedom to work hours that suit both yourself and your clients.
You will have access to professional software, IT support and telecommunications to ensure that you can always be in contact with your network of clients. But you will not be permitted to store client details outside of the IT framework established for you. Accountancy and financial services are expected to adhere to a very high standard of professional expertise, as well as comply with strict data protection standards. Sharing confidential details outside of the company framework is not only against company policy, it may well be illegal as from May 20, 2018, and you will be trained by the Partners as to your legal responsibilities in this field.
Salary and compensation
As you take your first steps towards building up your client base, you will be rewarded with a guaranteed compensation package equivalent to a half-salary.
You will be working as a freelancer (autonomo), but will initially have a free professional-level fiscal advice contract as part of our compensation package. You will also have a telephone and limited petrol compensation.
You will be backed up with investment in local advertising, generating leads to follow up, as well as being provided with welcome advertising to generate your own leads.
Your compensation will increase as your client base expands.

The job involves meeting lots of interesting people, making friends and helping people save money by helping to analyse their needs so that trained professionals can give targeted advice on how to minimise their tax liabilities. As with every career, there are targets to meet and there will be pressure to perform. But you will be support by licensed and bonded professionals who will be there to support you at every moment. The job is designed for the long term.
No minimum requirements are needed as on-the-job training is provided. Basic computer skills and a driving licence is a must. English OR French as a main language is necessary. You are not required to know possess any technical or professional level of Spanish.
